“Always looking to maximize my experiences, applying for the EMP early on in my program was the best decision. My first mentor took time out of her incredible schedule and prepared meaningful times together with each meeting. I learned what was possible for my future, which was pivotal for me. My second mentor provided insight and guidance for my career. The mentors in the program are awesome. Life is busy and there is no perfect time, but the investment you make during the EMP will be well worth it.”
Linda Santiago-King, MBA, 2024 Mentee
“Regent prepared me for steps I needed to take to start a business, as well as to lead one.”
Hunter Davis, MBA - International Business, 2019; J.D., 2013; B.A. in Government - American Government & Politics, 2010 Director, The American Environment Foundation; Co-Owner, Duck Donuts
“I am grateful for the mentorship I've received, which has been a transformative experience in my professional and personal growth. My mentor generously dedicated time to support and inspire me, offering invaluable perspectives that encouraged me to think outside the box. This guidance was crucial in helping me navigate my career options and prepare effectively for the job market. The mentorship program connected me with a professional who was genuinely interested in my success and also provided a platform for continuous learning and development. This experience has equipped me with practical tools and insights. I am deeply appreciative of this mentorship and the lasting impact it has had on my life.”
Iyad Arusi, MBA, 2023 Mentee
“It will be the principles of servant leadership that I largely learned at Regent that I'll carry with me. These principles defined me as a corporate leader, and I believe they will define my political leadership.”
Scott Rigell, MBA, 1990 Former Representative of Virginia’s 2nd Congressional District; U.S. Marine Corps Reserve veteran; former owner of Freedom Automotive
“One of the most powerful experiences I had during this mentorship was realizing I wasn’t walking this road alone. The encouragement, the accountability, and the honest conversations gave me fuel to keep pressing forward when old mindsets tried to creep in. I found clarity in my purpose, and being surrounded by others who were just as committed to growth and healing gave me hope and strength. I was provided a referral for future collaboration. I learned to embrace my voice, sharpen my vision, and step more confidently into the calling God placed on my life. Future participants—come with an open heart and expect transformation. It’s more than mentorship—it’s a divine encounter with destiny”
Janet L. Garcia, Doctor of Strategic Leadership, 2025 Mentee
