What is Leadership Studies?

Leadership studies is the study of leadership theory, organizational structuring, and how leadership styles vary between organizations. Leadership studies also involve examining real leaders and finding practical ways to use leadership theories.

Why Study Leadership?

Leadership studies is the study of people and how to best communicate with them. Studying leadership teaches how to understand people and mediate instances where motivations and goals can collide. Various mediation techniques are practical in organizations you might consult or work for. Through learning about leadership, you will learn about yourself and others.

“My friends and I feel like Regent chose us. It was clear that we were meant to be here, and we're better for it. I tell others, 'If you're looking for something out of the ordinary, something authentic, that gives evidence to God, I suggest Regent University.' Our community and the pursuit of God are unparalleled.”
Kristin Smith, B.A. in History, 2020 Next Generation Coordinator, Strong Tower Church
“The main things that really stood out to me about Regent went beyond campus. It was the students and seeing the mission statement embodied in everything.”
Morganne Oliver, College of Arts & Sciences, 2021
“With 30+ years of nursing experience, I saw myself as a leader, but I felt this nudging from God to go back to school. I’ve discovered my new calling: to serve as a life coach.”
