Regent Law Receives Grade-A Honor Roll Distinction Among Top 30 Law Schools for Practical Training from The National Jurist

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (Apr. 20, 2026) — Regent University School of Law has been named among the Top 30 Best Law Schools for Practical Training by The National Jurist, receiving an “A” Honor Roll ranking for providing hands-on experience to students preparing to become lawyers.

The recognition highlights law schools that prioritize experiential learning, including skills-based coursework, internships, externships, clinics, and other hands-on opportunities designed to prepare students for the realities of legal practice.

“Our model of legal education combines rigorous academics with hands-on training and ethical formation from a Christian worldview,” said S. Ernie Walton, Dean of Regent University’s School of Law. “At Regent, practical training is woven throughout all three years of the J.D. program through a range of experiences, so our graduates are equipped not only to practice law, but to serve clients with excellence, pursue justice in their communities, and faithfully uphold the rule of law.”

Regent Law’s experiential model goes beyond technical competence. It forms graduates with the judgment, practical skills, and moral character required to advocate effectively for clients, strengthen communities, and defend the principles that sustain a just society.
