Bio
Dr. Lilly Mbinglo, CPA, is an accounting professor and currently serves as the director of the Master of Science in Accounting program in the School of Business & Leadership at Regent University. She holds a Doctor of Strategic Leadership from Regent University, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Houston–Downtown, and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Northeastern Illinois University.
With more than 14 years of experience in corporate America, and over seven years as the founder and CEO of a CPA firm — The ARK NPS — Dr. Mbinglo brings practical industry insight into her teaching. She also has more than five years of experience as a marketplace trainer and keynote speaker, having delivered TEDx talks and led workshops across the United States on business strategy, tax strategy, financial empowerment, and faith in the marketplace.
From 2021 to 2024, Dr. Mbinglo served as an instructor for the Virginia Workforce Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Hampton University, where she equipped entrepreneurs and startup founders with practical tools for business success. She led courses including Accounting for Business Owners and Financial Forecasting.
Dr. Mbinglo is the founder of the Lilly Mbinglo Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to spreading the Gospel globally, and promoting economic empowerment among minorities and individuals from low-income communities. The foundation fulfills its mission through grants, financial education, pro bono tax services, and support for local community development initiatives.
Viewing her teaching ability as a gift from God to serve humanity, Dr. Mbinglo channels this calling through both the classroom and her published works. Her books include 2025 Business Planner: Guide to Tax Strategies and Business Success and The Fabric of a Shero: Business Success Tips from a Shero Who Did It All. Forthcoming titles include Hire Your Kids, Save Taxes, and Build a Legacy and From Vows to Ventures: Building a Successful Business Partnership for Married Couples. She is also the host of Tax Conversation Strategies (TCS), a video series streamed on Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn, where she shares current tax ideas and practical strategies for small-business owners and individuals.
Dr. Mbinglo has been recognized by Thinkers360 as a Top 25 Thought Leader in Finance and Lead Startup, and a Top 50 Thought Leader in Education. Her research and professional interests include tax strategy, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, faith and finance integration, and minority economic advancement.
