Bio

Dr. Candace Dumas is a doctoral-prepared family nurse practitioner with a secondary M.S. in Exercise Physiology with a concentration in Wellness & Fitness. She has a strong background in inpatient, outpatient, and rehabilitation services with a wide variety of populations across the nation.

As a certified family nurse practitioner, Dr. Dumas has served as an inpatient and outpatient pulmonary nurse practitioner throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, serving on multiple local and interstate-level medical committees for treatment development strategies and research dissemination.

Dr. Dumas is passionate about improving the quality of care for all populations, with a particular focus on at-risk populations affected by social determinants of health, and is currently working as a nocturnist PRN in a rural hospital. She’s also pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice with a secondary population certificate in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care with subspecialty certificates in Healthcare Spanish and Nurse Education.
